Seasonal outlook change tracker

What changed in the latest winter outlook?

A release-by-release record of the NOAA Climate Prediction Center long-lead outlooks we use in the local checker.

Why track changes instead of showing one frozen map?

Seasonal outlooks evolve as ENSO, ocean temperatures and model guidance change. This archive records material changes so you can see whether a local winter signal is strengthening, weakening or simply being refined.

How we use each release

We update the checker only when the official CPC release materially changes the evidence. The site separates temperature, precipitation and snow because a wetter signal does not automatically imply more snowfall.
